If chess is the ultimate thinking man's game, this version must be the ultimate thinking drinking man's game. Of course, girlies can join in too, if they can stand the pace!
Each chess piece is a shot glass, to be filled with the (strong) beverage of choice and all the normal rules and etiquette of chess apply, that is, until the taking commences. Every time a chess piece is taken by your opponent you have to consume the contents of the glass so by the time that each player has lost a few pawns and maybe a bishop or rook, the normal decorum associated with a quiet chess game will have totally disapeared. The ultimate humiliation comes when checkmate is reached and you are forced to down the contents of the king. Getting hammerred at chess has a whole new meaning.
An alternative version could be where each taken piece (shot glass) is downed by the aggressor. That version may lead to some interesting new chess and drinking tactics.
The original version of this game appeared on Amazon at the outrageous price of £90. Our version of the Shot Glass Chess Set is priced perfectly to be a fun gift for Christmas or as a great birthday present.
The glass playing board is 25cm x 25 cm with 32 printed shot glassplaying pieces.
Sadly we only supply the game, not the spirits to fill the glasses.
Please note this is slightly heavier than most of our products and therefore attracts a slightly higher P&P charge.
