Peaty And Smoky Malts Scotch Whisky Tasting Gift Set
A perfect introduction to the world of peaty single malt scotch whisky: a scotch whisky tasting set that will awaken your taste buds and delight your nostrils.
The range and variety of single malt whiskies is very extensive: some are smooth and fruity, others peaty and powerful, some almost medicinal and tasting of the sea. Each single malt whisky has its own unique character and devotees but how does the novice Scotch (or Welsh or English or Irish) whisky drinker choose and decide what they like? It can be an expensive business with full bottles ranging from around £20 up to many hundreds of pounds, particularly if the chosen variety is not to their liking.
We are delighted to offer a solution that will suit most pockets and allow an informed choice to be made by the future whisky drinker. We have a range of whisky tasting sets that include some rare and unusual whiskies as well as some more mainstrream varieties of single malt scotch, specially bottled as miniatures.
This is our Peaty and Smoky Scotch Whisky Tasting Gift Set featuring five fabulous whiskies designed to showcase the styles of each of the producers, including some from the famed Isle of Islay.
Ideal for lovers of Strong, Peaty & Smoky Malts, this gift set includes several whiskies from the iconic island of Islay - including 2010 World Whisky Award Winner Big Peat (from Douglas Laing) bottled at 46% and Machrie Moor III, a peated Arran malt 46%. The set also includes Bruichladdich's organic multi-vintage, bottled at 46% along with The Ileach single malt from a secret Islay distillery. Last but my no means least, Peaty Creag - a marriage of Islay and Skye whiskies - from the peerless multi-award-winning Tanners Wines 40%. Total 30ml.
Tasting cards give detailed information on each whisky and are presented in a neat pocket-envelope which may be kept as a keepsake. The set also includes a whisky tasting mat, themed with a beautiful landscape or distillery scene, providing the perfect place to place the whiskies for tasting and for recording personal tasting notes.
This tasting set perfectly illustrates the differences in whiskies that are produced on Scotland's famed whisky island of Islay as well as introducing the Scotch drinker to well-crafted blended malts.
The sets are very attractively packaged and at first glance look like a premium box of chocolates. However, the whisky lover will soon realise that this is a much better proposition!
Important Note: The contents of this set may slightly vary depending on the availability of these distinctive whiskies.
