Gladiator™ The Helmet of Maximus™
Miniature version of the Maximus Gladiator Helmet.
This gladiator helmet is a miniature copy replica of the helmet that was worn by the gladiator Maximus in the film Gladiator, played by Russel Crowe. In the fight scenes in the Colliseum Maximus wore the helmet partly as disguise but mainly as a weapon of combat and protection against his opponents, including the tiger. The top of the helmet has a fearsome forward facing spike whilst the sides and rear of the head part have smaller but no less damaging spikes. The brow is protected by a lip and the nose and front of the jaw are protected by steel coverings creating a frightening visage.
This is a movie replica, not a true historical artifact.
The helmet is manufactured in heavy gauge steel so this is no lightweight inferior copy.
