Official Maximus Gladiator Helmet by Factory-X, licensed from Dream Works LLC and Universal Studios.
This gladiator helmet is a true official replica of the helmet that was worn by the gladiator Maximus in the film Gladiator, played by Russel Crowe. In the fight scenes in the Colliseum Maximus wore the helmet partly as disguise but mainly as a weapon of combat and protection against his opponents, including the tiger. The top of the helmet has a fearsome forward facing spike whilst the sides and rear of the head part have smaller but no less damaging spikes. The brow is protected by a lip and the nose and front of the jaw are protected by steel coverings creating a frightening visage.
This is a movie replica, not a true historical artifact.
The helmet is fully wearable being leather lined and is manufactured in heavy gauge steel so this is no lightweight inferior copy.
This is not a toy and can cause injury if used as such.
The gladiator helmet is supplied with a polished wooden stand upon which is affixed the official plaque giving trademark and licensing details.
