Jim Bamber introduced the simple plain faced driver in his cartoons, adding the drivers name on the helmet to identify the driver and this has become his trademark. These models feature the same drivers and thus continue the trademark Jim Bamber style. The McRae R4 model is one of a very short run limited edition of only 224 and when they're gone, they're gone. Each model is supplied with its own authentication certificate and unique number.
Colim McRae was an extremely talented rally driver, winning 24 rallies in total and in 1995 became the first Briton to win the Drivers Championship, and the youngest ever.
Colin McRae chose the 2006 Goodwood Festival of Speed to unveil the McRae R4, which had been conceived at the beginning of 2005. The intention was to make a cheaper alternative to WRCs (World Rally Cars) with significantly lower running costs.
